6 Days Rwanda Wildlife & Cultural Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and City Tour
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a guided city tour visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and the craft centers. Gain insight into Rwanda’s history, culture, and resilience. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2: Kigali to Akagera National Park Safari
After breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species. Arrive at your lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park, spotting wildlife in their natural habitat. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Full-Day Akagera Safari and Boat Ride
Start the day with an early morning game drive to catch predators and other wildlife active at dawn. Return for breakfast at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat ride on Lake Ihema, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds. Capture amazing photographs of the park’s diverse landscapes. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Cultural Visit
After breakfast, depart Akagera and travel northwest to Volcanoes National Park, famous for mountain gorillas. En route, stop for a cultural visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to interact with local communities and learn about traditional Rwandan lifestyle and customs. Arrive at your lodge in Volcanoes National Park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast, head into Volcanoes National Park for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Spend up to one hour observing a habituated gorilla family in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, optional visit to twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo for sightseeing or relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 6: Return to Kigali and Departure
