Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour or relax at your hotel.

Day 2: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, admire Uganda’s beautiful countryside and make a stop at the equator for photos. Arrive at your lodge near the park and relax for the evening.

Day 3: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Begin the day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you may spot elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Depart Queen Elizabeth and drive through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive at your lodge nestled in the forested hills for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After a briefing by park rangers, set out for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. Hike through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family and spend an hour observing them once found. This intimate encounter is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences.

Day 6: Bwindi – Volcanoes National Park (Rwanda)

Cross into Rwanda and journey towards Volcanoes National Park. The scenic drive offers magnificent views of terraced hills and volcano landscapes. Arrive at your lodge near the park and relax ahead of the next day’s adventure.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Tracking & Cultural Visit

Spend the morning tracking the playful golden monkeys in Volcanoes National Park. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in Rwandan culture with a visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village where you will experience traditional music, dance, and storytelling.

Day 8: Return to Kigali – Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kigali. Depending on your flight schedule, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local markets for souvenirs before your airport drop-off, marking the end of your Uganda and Rwanda safari.
