Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Exploration

Arrive in Kigali where you will be welcomed by your guide. Take a city tour that includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and cultural sites. Enjoy dinner in the city before settling into your hotel for the night.

Day 2: Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, depart Kigali for a scenic drive through the rolling hills of Rwanda before crossing into Uganda. The journey offers breathtaking landscapes and local village life along the way. Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today is the highlight of your adventure – gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After a briefing from the rangers, head into the forest in search of one of the gorilla families. Once you encounter them, spend an hour observing their behaviors and interactions in the wild. Return to the lodge for relaxation and a warm evening by the forest.

Day 4: Bwindi to Volcanoes National Park

Depart Bwindi and travel back into Rwanda, heading toward Volcanoes National Park. The drive is scenic, passing through beautiful mountain landscapes and terraced hillsides. Arrive near the park in time for a relaxed evening at your lodge.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking – Cultural Visit

Begin the day with golden monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park. These lively primates are unique to the Virunga region and offer a memorable wildlife experience. In the afternoon, enjoy a cultural visit with local communities to learn about Rwandan traditions, music, and dance before returning to your lodge.

Day 6: Return to Kigali – Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Kigali. Depending on your schedule, you may stop at craft markets for souvenirs before being dropped at the airport for your departure flight.
